Just off James Street, King Arthur Café is the latest venture from the team behind Merriweather café in South Brisbane, and has the same kitchen philosophy of using produce supplied by local farmers and meats that are ethically sourced. And of course, taking the same care in preparing the food that they do in sourcing it, with plenty of housemade goodies making their way onto plates.
From the sweet, warm, quinoa and chia porridge topped with gingerbread and fresh figs to the slow cooked goat with tomato and oregano on sourdough, that care shines through in every dish. Even the simple avocado on rye is jazzed up with bay leaf ricotta and pistachio.
