Double the trouble? Now that’s amoré. One year after launching in Chelmer, Tocco Italiano are doubling the authentic Italian goods with a new location in Teneriffe (on Florence Street, no less).
Hang ten! South Bank Surf Club has been washed away, making room for the all new Southbeach Social. The décor might be new, but the flavours will whisk you back to the ‘70s faster than Fonzie could shout ‘eyy’ – this retro beach shack will rep all your Aussie classics.
South Bank’s also set to wave in a brand new fish ‘n’ chips spot, sure to hook up those riverside seafood cravings. Paper Fish opens late November, led by the team behind Stokehouse Q (yeah, we’re stoked).
Halloumi from the other side. The Greek Club shuts its doors in January to pave the way for a massive revamp come April (big fat Greek Christmas, anyone?). The new space will feature a modern Greek décor and Grand Balcony – we pita the fool who isn’t excited.
Going green with envy over those Insta snaps? Greenhouse Canteen & Bar is opening a second venue in Coolangatta! Plant yourself right here for more of Miami’s veggie faves, like the jackfruit enchiladas and roast pumpkin planet plates.
You hereby have our permission to pig out. Newbie pop-up host Alf’s Place is slated to welcome Three Little Pigs into their Valley space. The popular Vietnamese pop-up is making its heyday after plenty of appearances at Mount Gravatt Marketta.

Hey: no champagne, no gain. Stokehouse Q is treating Brisbane to its 2017 Champagne Dinner, hosted by wine genius Tyson Stelzer on October 19. You’ll embark on a four course adventure of exec chef Richard Ousby’s delicaries, each paired with luxury champagne. Bring on the bubbles!
