After you’ve recovered from your food coma post Stones Corner Festival it’s time to get down to South Brisbane and do it all again! The third annual Fish Lane Festival is making waves for all the right reason. Chill out in the Tanqueray Gin Garden, sip on Colonial beers and stuff your face with delicious morsels from Ol’ School, Julius, the Fox and Billykart Bar amongst other Fish Lane vendors. Work off your burg with a boogie to live music and DJs before checking out artwork from emerging Brisbane artists on May 12thfrom 12pm.

Let Old Tom take you by the hand and journey from the beach to the mountains with the signature Chef dinner. The Broadbeach bar is famous for its dedication to gin (hello black gin!) and its super luxe menu. Start with pacific oysters, then move on to SA squid and cauliflower with river herbs. After that savour mouth-watering lamb with saltbush and charred cucumber before diving into a Valrhona chocolate tart. We don’t need to say anymore, you’ve already booked in right?
Blute’s Bar | Fortitude Valley
Bringing back old-school pub vibes Blute’s Bar is opening below speakeasy/boogie heaven Black Bear Lodge. The joint project between the BBL and Lucky Egg teams will offer 14 taps of beer, a damn sexy wine list, live music and fixtures from some of the biggest American sporting codes on the big screens. They’ll also be converting you to the Parmie Army with their chicken or eggplant parmies, amongst other pub classics. Move over cocktail lounges, Blute’s is bringing back the 80s pub and we couldn’t be more excited.
