Vegans and vegetarians of Brisbane, we know you’ve been wishing for it and it’s finally happened – a burger joint without a single animal product on the menu has finally hit town!
From the team behind Charlie’s Raw Squeeze comes Moo-Free Burgers, with their first burger bar hitting North Lakes for all the chickpea, mushroom and jack fruit burgers you can handle. And if North Lakes is a little too far for you to go, don’t worry – they hope to be opening on the Gold Coast this year, and have plans for a vegan burger food truck underway!
But for anyone who does make the trek, don’t just expect one or two chickpea burgers here, instead the Moo-Free menu is stacked with everything from a fishless fillet burger with tomato, lettuce and tartare, and the towering Chick’n Licken number with chick’n, facon rashers, pineapple, avocado, onion, tomato, lettuce, relish and mayo. There’s pulled pork made of jackfruit, black bean, felafal and mushroom patties, and you can make any of them gluten free!
Extra hungry? Get a load of the Monster Burger with three epic layers of beefless patties, facon rashers, cheeze (vegan of course), mushrooms, hash browns, tomato, lettuce, caramelized onion, pickles, mustard and mayo. You won’t need the side of sweet potato chips, we promise.
There’s even vegan sliders if you just can’t decide on one kind of burger, and a kid’s menu for the little vegans. Eat in the relaxed dining area and then head to Charlie’s Raw Squeeze next door for a vegan gelato for dessert, or take away to eat at home.
Burgers aren’t all they do either – you can also get a 100% vegan breakfast! We’re talking sweet corn and zucchini fritters or a sausage, hash brown and rasher breakfast burger, all available up until 11am.
Ready to have all your vegan dining needs covered by Moo-Free Burgers? You’ll find them at 53 Endeavour Boulevard, North Lakes.
