Taking over an old corner store, you’d never guess this modern looking café was once filled with bread, milk and weekend necessities. Peek through the windows now and you’ll see white tiled walls, vintage touches and a quirky leadlight window fitted into a weatherboard wall on one side.
All the usual brunch favourites feature on the menu, but with some intriguing modifications. Avocado toast comes with fermented cabbage powder and charred lettuce, while the eggs benny comes with apple hollandaise and your choice of bacon or pork. The coconut macadamia muesli is served with a coffee panna cotta, and our top pick, the classic omelette, is more akin to a hot pink beetroot burrito filled with goats cheese. Meanwhile, the acutely caffeine deficient will no doubt be delighted by their three different intensity espresso blends (Padre, Dukes or Single O), which are sure to liven up your iced coffee as the weather heats up.
