Tucked away on the corner of Ann and Wharf Street, Collective Kitchen & Bar is more astroturf than concrete, with a wide open outdoor dining spot overlooking Cathedral Square. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, the menu has you covered any time of day. Choose a sunny spot and grab a breakfast of eggs benny with potato rostis and smashed avo, or drop in for a lunch of crispy barramundi, pork and apple with mint, coriander and peanut nahm jim.
Head in after work from Wednesday to Friday and you’ll be ready to forget all about your day with burgers, beers and lawn games for all your post-work needs. Stop in on Wednesdays for their free trivia from 6.30pm, with $14 pizzas, cheeky drinks and plenty of prizes to win. On Thursdays, you can grab burgers like their Wagyu beef with triple cheese, panko crumbed chicken with sesame and pickled carrot, and pulled chipotle pork for $10 after 4pm, but don’t be ready to put yourself in a food coma too quick – you need to show off your skills and (at?) giant Jenga, quoits, cornhole or Connect 4 first!
