A moody, candle-lit culinary adventure, Madame Rouge is sure to delight. Taking over the space of the much-loved Gordita, the French Bistro is the latest venture from half of the team behind E’cco Bistro and promises decadent intimacy with heavy red velvet curtains to complement red carpet and large red leather booths for a post-war feel.
The menu has taken shape under the watchful eye of head chef Matthew Short (previously of Olé Fuego) and features french classics including beef tartare, steak frites, confit duck, and a whole roasted chicken to share (or not). Desserts will follow suit, including crème caramel and apple tart with calvados ice cream. And of course, it wouldn’t be a French feast without plenty of wine, along with some uber creative cocktails.
